Dr. Gaétan Tardif is in Vancouver as the Canadian Paralympic Team’s Assistant Chef de Mission. Dr. Tardif was Chief Medical Officer for the past two Paralympic Winter Teams, as well as a Team Doctor for the past three Summer Teams. Dr. Tardif is the only Canadian to attend the last six consecutive Paralympic Games as mission staff. Dr. Tardif was the physician for 2 games and Assistant chef de mission for the Beijing games.Dr. Tardif is currently Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Medical Officer at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and Head of the Division of Physiatry, Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
